About

About

I design digital experiences and thriving team cultures.

Hi! I'm Byron 👋

I’m a product designer based in Southern California, passionate about creating meaningful digital experiences.

From intuitive user flows to visually compelling UI, I love to obsess over all the details that shape a user’s overall experience; every touchpoint matters. My experience across all facets of the design process allows me to understand and refine these nuances.

My work spans responsive web and mobile design, visual identity, and user research, all focused on delivering impactful, user-centered experiences.

Why UX/UI?

Why UX/UI?

Inspired by Kobe Bryant’s 'Mamba Mentality,' I thrive on the constant opportunity to grow and learn through each project—whether it’s about people, industries, or the craft itself.

I’m also proud of winning a national award for fostering team environments that drive innovation and creativity.

A unique skillset

A unique skillset

With leadership from my time in elite cycling, resilience built in rapid-growth tech, and data-driven insights from financial services, I bring a unique perspective to UX/UI design. I believe thoughtful design can add moments of wonder to everyday life and make other people’s lives easier.

Blending a diverse set of experiences & skills to create quality design

With a constant focus on the experience, my design process has been shaped by a diverse background:

  • Time in call-center tech support honed in my ability to quickly connect and empathize with others, resulting in consistently high rankings in employee performance boards (while earning honor's role recognition in college)

  • Leading elite cycling teams got addicted to pushing my limits and making strategic decisions under stressful situations, where the sport instilled the power of resilience, growth mindset, and trusting the process

  • Tenure in rapid-growth-tech taught me about making an impact throughout ambiguity, as well as the importance of team dynamics in fostering innovation

  • In financial services, I developed an aptitude in analyzing large data sets to extract compelling stories and data-driven insights

  • Personal interests and a curiosity for the smallest of details across design trends, fashion, interior design, and advertising continue to inspire my work in unique, unexpected ways

Why design

Nothing is more fulfilling than creating extraordinary experiences for others.

Quality design has the power to help others and add moments of wonder to our daily lives (which we all could use more of)

Staying connected to the person at the other of a design and being able to help them through beautiful, inclusive, & intentional design keeps me motivated to grow and improve every day.

I’m excited to continue a lifelong journey of honing the skill set in creating impactful designs that resonate with users .
